it's been a long time...

i shouldn't have left you without a dope blog to... ermm step to?

i haven't posted in a while. since then i started a new job, Sara and i have moved in together, and we have been enjoying the great summer weather!

i know i say i will post more often but i don't want to bore you anymore by my lame stories. especially when i am a horrible story teller and 1/2 of what i try to recreate is only funny if you experienced it with me.

when something comes along that i feel is necessary to share you know i will. until then follow me on twitter @gee_tee_p that's a better venue for my nonsense.

until then friends i'll be seein' ya. i'll probably walkin' through Providence or at Local121 grabbin a drank.

enjoy the summmmmer!

great weather

means i am outside as much as possible!

i went for another ride on the bike today and really loved it! i didn't have a journey in mind so i just went for it. i ended up riding to Blackstone Blvd where i was a bit of a hero. there was a biker down w/ a crowd of people around and the biker wasn't moving. i sped over to the fire station to alert the guys, they immediately hopped in their truck and went to help someone in need! i wasn't done riding so i headed to Wayland Square, then India Point Park via the new footbridge over 195, and down to the river where Hot Club and Fish Co. are and ended up sitting there for a minute to enjoy the sun. i was cruising around and found a parking lot underneath 195 where some skaters had built their own little skate haven. with protection from the elements hidden under the highway in a freshly paved parking lot they had some homemade quarter pipes, a ledge, and jersey barriers set up. i love seeing a plain space with potential actually get used, i hope it sticks around for a while and they are able to expand the space. after that discovery i headed back to my place via Wickenden and Hope St.

after this ride i know how badly i want a fixie. i've wanted one for a while now, and as much as i love my bike (even with the homemade wannabe-KRINK drip paint job) it's not meant for long city rides. it was born and raised in the dirt which is where it belongs. oh well, i will hopefully be able to buy another bike soon. now it's time for lunch; a homemade smoothie, with chips & salsa... MMMMMM

hope all y'all are enjoying this weather too! here are a few shots from today!

attention Rhode Island drivers

please start using the lever to the left of your steering wheel when turning. if you turn right, flip lever in upward position. if turning left, flip lever in downward motion. if this is done correctly there will be an indicator light somewhere near your speedometer and a clicking will sound off. when the turn is completed and your steering wheel is straight this clicking noise and indicator light will automatically be turned off.

these signals are made for a reason and they come stock on every car. there is no reason you should not be using them. if, for some reason, you think everyone around you uses telepathy and you are merely giving their brains a workout by making them guess which direction you're heading, please stop. in fact, it's only a mere 99.9% of Americans using telepathy. your brain exercises are going to waste on us lesser beings.

thank you and i hope you consider this next time you decide to cross all 4 lanes of traffic without looking. or when you're at an intersection in the left-turn-only lane and decide you're not going to turn left anymore and cut people off.

thanks

spring has

sprung!!!!

it is so nice to be able to walk anywhere w/o a jacket or even a hoodie. the downside of this AMAZING weather is... NO BIKE!

tonight i am driving home to VT with sara. happy to be able to snowboard, hang out w/ friends and fam and grab my bike to bring back w/ me. the steelhead is not the ideal city-rig but it will due while i save up and try to find the perfect bike (a fixed-rig).

if anyone has an old road-bike let me know i'll take it off your hands!

i hope everyone's enjoyin' the weather!

long time

it has been a really long time since i have written anything and i felt it was about time for a brief update.

i am working a lot and recently one of my best friends from home came down w/ his girly to visit and we had a blast. we hit up a new place and if you're in providence looking for a comfy spot with really nice people, a good drink list, and an eclectic collection of food you need to go to The Duck and Bunny, a snuggery over on Wickenden St. it's now one of my new favorite spots among Local 121 and The Wild Colonial.

i will do my best to update here a bit more often. goodbye friends!
