after a fun weekend with my girlfriend and her sister i am in VT.

my jaw has been messed up for over a week. so i went to my dentist today, turns out it is dislocated. i have no clue how that would have happened. the good news is that i am stayin' in Vermont until Monday.

PASSION PIT!

a childhood friend of mine has been making waves with his music. Passion Pit has become one of my favorite bands. they have a new full-length album coming out late May. i don't know how to describe their sound and i don't like labeling music here's the link so you can describe 'em anyway you'd like Passion Pit

on Saturday the 28th i will be in gun wavin' New Haven.

my friend is putting on a rail jam to raise funds for Leukemia Lymphoma. i will be there for a bit to represent Bean Snowboards and help him set-up then that night im goin up to Providence to celebrate my girlfriend's sister's 21st bday

i feel so bad, she is really sick and i can't help. shes on some gnarly narcotics. they make her see things and imagine she is floating amongst stars. basically they are working!

my blog may get a bit more defined now. in regards to what i write about and post. and because i am having a bad day and have been struggling i am going to vent a bit. i have been searching for a real job (not being a cashier or waiter) for almost 10 months now. i have a degree, i have solid internships under my belt, my resume looks great, i am willing to learn and start at the ground level. for some reason that's not enough for companies.

i have recently been to 2 job fairs. both of which turned out to be complete wastes of time. the first was mainly financial companies none of which were looking for marketing specific employees (my degree is in marketing communications). the 2nd fair was today, in Providence, RI. i woke myself up at 430 this morning to be on the road early to avoid hitting traffic that would extend my 3 hour drive(ended up extending my drive home instead). i went to this job fair b/c it was at my alma mater, Johnson & Wales. i figure, ok, i will have an advantage because i am alum (you're given a sticker to label yourself) and i have a great newly re-worked resume that is SURE to stand out.

i was prepared, but they were not! not one company i spoke with was not there for marketing employers (eventhough the info i was given prior to the event said specifics about what each company was looking for) they were mainly interested in seniors (i was wrong again) and store managers for Target, JC Penney, GameStop and the rest were restaurants and resorts (still not interested in marketing)

i have had a lot of trouble finding a job. i am on my computer almost 10 hours a day searching online, updating my resume, targeting a cover letter to a job and applying. i know it's because of the economy, but SOME people are hiring. they just aren't hiring me and my job now, is to find out how to make them want to hire me!

back after a good weekend. still really tired and feeling the pain of over-consumption!

so it's back on the grind. trying to apply and send some e-mails today in front of the TV. the new Kanye West and 88-Keys song is on "Stay-up! Viagra" not sure how i feel about it yet. the video is kinda funny.

that's the thing about a lot of Kanye stuff i hear, takes me a couple times to like it or hate it.

aaanyway i'll be bloggin later and more, this post was pretty lame, but that's how i feel today
